The Virginia Region bestows several awards on deserving individuals. The current awards are:
- VAR Landowner Recognition Award
- Presented to cave owners in the Region who have shown long-term support
and friendship to Region cavers.
- VAR Outstanding Service Award
- Presented to Region cavers in appreciation for their long-time service to the Region.
