The Chairman - Craig Hindman Discussed letter received regarding Hellhole Conservation Chair - Andy Reeder 50 people turned out fot the Grand Caverns Restoration. Approxiamately 70 formations were repaired. Bowden Cave Winter - , Summer - Island Ford Cave Winter - , Summer- DNR funds are available for sink hole cleanup. The Nature Conservancy administers the funds. Dyers Cave is to be cleaned No plans for the Sinkhole from Hell Baltimore & Sligo Grotto's have replaced the Gate at Silers Cave The NSS has Conservation Grant funds available - contact Al Kraus Goodwin's Cave Open for spring. The cave is healing and life is returning. Scouts have requested access. Staunton Cave - Ted Andrus No report. Vitas may have an editor West Virginia Cave Conservancy Ligthner Cave entrance has been purchased - open - permit is required to exit via McClungs Power Lines - Will Orndorff No report New Dixie Approximately 5 more trips are needed to finish - plan to complete this year. Host Grotto Report Pine Mountain reported 112 people attended, 116 registered 70 went on field trips. 10 trips were led 5 were self guided. Old Business Host for Fall 01 - RASS Willl be held the weekend on September 28'th at the Field Station Host for Spring 02 - WVCC possibly at Natural Chimney's the last weekend in April New Business John Pearson - Greenbrier County - requested membership in VAR for Bubble Cave Ltd. To be voted on at next official meeting Host for Fall 2002 Host needed Grant Requests MAKC was not acted on.
